About

Born in Krasnodar, Russia, Anna Aristova is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and spatial visionary. After earning her MFA and MA in the History of Language and Literature from Kuban State University, she immigrated to the United States in 2006 and founded her own architecture and interior design practice in New York.

In 2016, Anna co-founded A Space, a studio dedicated to limited-edition furniture and design objects crafted in collaboration with artisans worldwide. Now based between London and New York, she holds a Graduate Diploma from the Royal College of Art and is currently pursuing an MA in Sculpture in the School of Arts & Humanities there. Her work has received awards and has been featured in publications and recognized in design competitions.

Her practice explores the relationship between human connection, materiality, creativity, and AI. Her recent research investigates how human presence, intimacy, and emotional exchange can survive within an increasingly digital and socially fragmented world shaped by algorithms, artificial intelligence, and mediated communication. Drawing from personal memory and lived experience, she develops spatial environments and performative installations that translate psychological and emotional states into material form. Alongside this, her practice is grounded in sustainable making and the development of ecologically conscious materials.
